A few months ago, we were at a beautiful campsite on the cliffs of the ocean. One of the campsites had a pretty, colorful flag banner hanging up. I just loved it. I think it was Tibetan prayer flags, something you might find at Pier 1. I decided to make some of my own. I wanted it to be fun, whimsical, and colorful. I used only supplies from my stash. So, this project cost me ZERO. Yay! I made a video of how I made them. I didn’t follow any sort of instructions, so I had a hard time giving instructions. lol. I used fabric that was cut to 5″ x 8″. There was no particular reason for this size. I just had to pick something.
I also used 2 double fold bias tape for my “string” to attach my flags to. Each one of those was 3 yards, so about 9 feet. I was going to make one long banner, but I ended up making two.
Here is the video showing you how I made them. I must comment about my so called “how to” videos. Ugh. I don’t start out thinking about making a “how to” video. I decide to make something, and I think, “hey, this would make a good video”. Then I start trying to film what I’m doing. So. I love to watch “how to” videos, and I can see that I am truly not giving enough information. I just want you to know that I realize this, and I’m working on it. So, feel free to ask my any questions, and I will do my best to answer them.
They are so cute!!! If you make some, please post a photo of it.
Hugs, Stephanie
